Simple Homemade Pizza

Ingredients — Dough
- 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 150 ml (⅔ cup) warm water
Tomato Sauce
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, pepper, dried oregano to taste
Toppings (suggestions)
Mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, olives, bell pepper, onions, tuna, etc.
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let rest 5 minutes.
- Add water and olive oil to flour, knead 5–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Prepare the sauce: heat olive oil, add garlic, tomato puree, salt, pepper, oregano. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Roll out dough, spread sauce, add toppings, and finish with cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven at 220°C (430°F) for 12–15 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Let rest 2 minutes, slice, and enjoy!
Tip: For a crispier base, preheat a pizza stone or baking sheet and slide pizza onto it.
